Delaney Jones receives scholarship from Phi Sigma Iota

10:19 AM

It is our honor to inform you that Delaney Jones has just been awarded a scholarship from Phi Sigma Iota for the second year in a row!

Delaney Jones has just received a scholarship from Phi Sigma Iota Foreign Language Honor Society.  She is a Spanish and Political Science major with a minor in French. She currently serves as the President of Ashland University's Gamma Tau Chapter of the honor society.

Delaney Jones is the first student from Ashland University to apply for a Phi Sigma Iota Scholarship and this is the second consecutive year in a row that she's been awarded this prestigious international recognition. Only active members may apply and each institution (chapter) may submit only one application per year.  As this is a national scholarship, Delaney's receipt of the scholarship is indeed an honor.

Phi Sigma Iota is a Foreign Language Honor Society with more than 250 chapters nationally and chapters in Mexico and France.  Gamma Tau Chapter of Phi Sigma Iota was installed April 30, 1997 at Ashland University by Dr. William Cummins.

Please help the department congratulate Delaney Jones!
