Rossana Elenbaum is a 2017 graduate with a BSED in Spanish. Rossana moved to the United States at the age of 26 from her native country of Peru.
After living a few years in Ohio, she realized she wanted to pursue her dream of becoming a Spanish teacher and decided to enroll in one class at Ashland University with Dr. Barb Schmidt-Rinehart - Spanish 311 Spanish Civilization. Studying with Dr. Schmidt-Rinehart motivated Rossana to become a full-time student at AU - a decision that Rossana describes as being the best one in her life.
At AU Rossana scored Advanced level proficiency in both national exams and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Sigma Iota, and Spanish Club. Rossana has just signed a contract to be a Spanish teacher at Horizon Science Academic Middle School in Cleveland.
